Velcro-in Washable Pads Made of Wicking and Soaking Materials

If your pup is incontinent and needs to wear dog diapers 24x7, we have designed a velcro adhering pad that fits into our diapers.

We use Bamboo, Organic Cotton, Hemp and Flannel materials to make our washable pads.  PUL is available at an extra charge.

Bamboo Velour

Our bamboo velour is one of the newest diaper fabrics in the cloth diapering world. It is very absorbent, naturally anti-bacterial, and won't hold odors. It has a very silky and luxurious feel and stays soft wash after wash. Bamboo velour is also very environmentally friendly (Botanically categorized as a grass and not a tree, bamboo just might be the world’s most sustainable resource. It is the fastest growing grass and can shoot up a yard or more a day. Bamboo reaches maturity quickly and is ready for harvesting in about 4 years. Bamboo does not require replanting after harvesting because its vast root network continually sprouts new shoots which almost zoom up while you watch them, pulling in sunlight and greenhouse gases and converting them to new green growth. And bamboo does this the natural way without the need for petroleum-guzzling tractors and poisonous pesticides and fertilizers).

Hemp

Our hemp/organic cotton is a hardworking cloth fabric.  Hemp fabric is stronger, more durable and more absorbent than 100% cotton fabric of the same weight. Hemp has natural antibacterial properties- good news considering what it absorbs.

How to care for our diaper pads:

1. Remove Solids - Whether you choose to swish, shake, or spray, remove as much solid matter as possible and dispose of this in the toilet.

2. Cold Prewash - Cold water will remove any remaining solid material without setting in stains.

3. Hot Wash - Hot water is required to sterilize pad and remove germs.   Add detergent to hot wash

4. Dry - Line drying will prolong the life of your cotton, hemp, or bamboo diaper pads. Line drying in the sun is an excellent bleaching agent and should help remove any stains.

Please do:

  • Cold prerinse
  • Use UNSCENTED liquid detergent
  • Hang in the sun to remove stains
  • Always include hot water and soap in your wash routine
  • Treat tough stains with lemon juice and set in the sun for a few hours. Then wash before use!

Please do not:

  • Use any fabric softener
  • Use bleach of anything made with PUL fabric
  • Overfill your washing machine. Your diaper pads need good water circulation to get clean.
  • Let your diaper pads sit unwashed for more than 3-4 days.
  • Use scented detergents.
